Holy Jewish Sites in Israel

To begin with there are four Holy Cities in Judaism, Jerusalem, Safed, Hebron and Tiberias.

  • Jerusalem

Jerusalem including the Old City is the holiest of Jewish Cities. Besides being the eternal capital of Israel, it carries a long history of the Jewish people since King David declared it its capital.

In Jerusalem you’ll find the Western Wall, the last remnant of the Second Temple. In this sacred wall you will find people praying and it is also a must stop for all visitors coming to Israel, including Presidents and Popes.

The new part of Jerusalem, outside the wall is a thriving capital with all the good and bad of a very large and populated city. It is full of sites like the Israel Museum one of the most important in the world, the Knesset or Israeli Parliament, the Supreme Court Building and many others. Read more about Jerusalem.
